She is survived by her mother and father, Deanne and Michael Phillips of Fruits Heights, with whom she lived all her life. Three sisters, one brother, and her grandmother also surviving her, include Sherie (Brett) Bass, Kristin LeVitre, Jered Michael and Teresa (Patrick) Mabey, Marian Price Phillips, and her ten nieces and nephews. Her family will miss her dearly.
Andrea attended Davis County schools, graduating from Viewmont High's special needs class in 1995. She has been employed at the Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield for many years with her countless friends. She delighted in participating in the North Davis Special Needs Mutual, especially the spring productions and summer camp. She participated in the Special Olympics program and excelled in bowling, winning multiple gold medals.
Her greatest pleasure came from arranging her birthday party months in advance to insure all her friends could attend. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Fruit Heights 2nd Ward. We thank all who rejoiced with us in her initial recovery, and then became more and more anxious with us following her second operation from which she never recovered. Your prayers and expressions of concern were most appreciated. She has brought all of us closer together during her marvelous life. Our faith has sustained us through this ordeal. We look forward to the time when we will meet Andrea again and discover the marvelous being we know she is.
Her Viewing will be held Monday, April 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary located at 250 North Fairfield Road in Layton. Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 15th in the LDS Mountain Road Chapel located at 901 South Mountain Road in Fruit Heights beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a Viewing beginning at 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
She will be buried among her handcart pioneer ancestors in the West Weber Cemetery, 4592 West 1000 North, West Weber, Utah.
