CIVIL WAR SOLDIER 69TH PA. INF.

James Parkinson was a private soldier in the 69th Pa.Infantry (Philadelphia). He served in Co. G of the Regiment.He had initially served in the 27th Pa Infantry. In Nov. 1862 he developed dysentry and hospitalised in Fort Schuyler Hospital in New York and died there on 8.1.1863. He had been earlier discharged on surgeons certificate 8.1.1862.
He had enlisted and mustered in 5.5.1861 and and transferred from the 27th Pa to the 69th Pa.1.10.1861
