Edgar William Armstrong, 69 years old, 1024 Grove street, died at 3:31 o'clock Monday afternoon in McCune Brooks hospital where he had been a patient for a day. He had been ill for three years.
Born July 24, 1905, at Carterville, Mo., Mr. Armstrong moved to Carthage in 1919. He was married September 29, 1934 to Gladys Schreck, who survives. He was a retired machine operator for the Carthage Marble Corporation and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include two sons, Edgar W. Armstrong, Jr., of Nixa, and Ernest G. Armstrong, 1103 Ash Street; a brother Harold Armstrong, Chicago, and four grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Ulmer funeral home.
