Born July 24, 1905, at Carterville, Mo., Mr. Armstrong moved to Carthage in 1919. He was married September 29, 1934 to Gladys Schreck, who survives. He was a retired machine operator for the Carthage Marble Corporation and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include two sons, Edgar W. Armstrong, Jr., of Nixa, and Ernest G. Armstrong, 1103 Ash Street; a brother Harold Armstrong, Chicago, and four grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Ulmer funeral home.
