Professional Football Player. A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, he played at the linebacker and guard positions for nine seasons (1956, 1958 to 1965) in the National Football League, with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. He was a member of the 1960 NFL Championship Eagles Team. He was a star player during his collegiate years at the University of Maryland achieving All-American status. He appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1955 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996. Pellegrini was selected by the Eagles in the 1st round of the 1956 NFL Draft and appeared in 107 career regular season games.
