Sherrill Emmett Davis- 78 of Blaine, TN passed away on September 9, 2023 at home. Sherrill was born November 16, 1944 and retired from Magnavox. He was also a trader and cattle farmer. He was a member of Lea Springs Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, Emmitt and Lenora Davis; grandson, Daniel Aaron Davis; sister, Trula Mae McGinnis; and brothers Paul (Bud) Davis and Lowell Davis.

Survived by wife of 56 years, Linda Webster Davis; sons and spouses, Dewayne and Missy Davis of Rutledge, Dwight and Joy Davis of Blaine, and Douglas and Tina Davis of Blaine; grandchildren and their spouses, Nicolas Davis and fiancee' Haley Plumley, Natalie and Justin Kirk, Diana and Donald Baldwin, Dylan Davis, Destanee Davis, Tequila and Damien Broyles, Hannah and Jacob Sewell, Aaron Davis, Kadie Davis, and Corbin Davis; great grandchildren, Ayden, Bryson, Camdyn and Daylen Broyles, Hadlie and Hudson Kirk, and Sarah Baldwin; sister, Lovella Coleman.

A special thanks to U.T. Hospice nurse Brittani Mason and CNA Tequila Drinnon.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Bridges Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 7:00 PM with Rev. Paul Owens officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Lea Springs Cemetery for burial. Grandsons will be the pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Myers, Mike Rose and Steve Swafford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lea Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 25, Blaine, TN 37709.
