Blandena Francis Passmore Lail
Hickory, N.C. - Blandena Francis Passmore Lail, 80, of Seventh Avenue, NE, died Feb. 6, 2004, at her residence after a period of declining health.
Born Oct. 23, 1923, in Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Barney M. and Emma Francis Price Passmore.
A member of Faith United Church of Christ, she retired as a nurse from Glen R. Frye Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edgar Lail, Sr. in June 1986.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanette Francis Pittman and Daniel of Fayetteville, and Sarah Elizabeth Eaton of Valprasio, Ind.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. Lail Jr. and Kathy of Hickory; granddaughters, Lisa Rogers of Hickory, Rita Millsaps of Conover, Tammy Richardson of Charlotte, Julie Roos of Hickory, and Carla Joseph and Kathy Herrera of Valprasio, Ind.; a grandson, Sean Robinson of Hickory; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth pascal of Valdese, and Utena Lenease, Madeline Harrison, Josephine Hames and Phyllis Butler of Hickory; and a brother, James Passmore of Salisbury.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Homer F. Greene at 2 p.m. Monday at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
