Monte passed away at the age of 73 on July 1st, 2008 in Albany, Oregon. He is survived by his wife Virgaela, his children Mike, Cheryl, Jeff and Greg, his many grandchildren, sisters Laverne and Lynn and many nieces and nephews. Monte lived in the Oakland area for most of his life. He proudly served in the Untied States Army and worked in the airline industry for many years. Monte was an outdoors man who loved fishing, camping gardening and animals. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on August 2nd at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Monte's name to the Ohlone Humane Society in Fremont, California.
