GREENSBORO — Claude Lee Doak, 83, of Clare Bridge of High Point, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Forbis & Dick N. Elm Street Chapel, with Reverend Wayne Branch officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Claude was born April 18, 1924, in Danville, Va., a son to John Otto and Letricia Price Doak. He was retired from Apac Inc. and a Army veteran having served in World War II. Claude was a member of First Christian Church in Kernersville. He was awarded several safe driving awards during his employment with Apac Inc. Claude enjoyed wood working, fishing, playing his guitar and singing while he had good health.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Snead Doak of Greensboro; four daughters, Margie Roberson and her husband, Clarence of Greensboro, Patti Rhodes and her husband, Jerry of Kernersville, Connie Tate of Clarksville Tenn., Becky Harrelson of Greensboro; one son, Danny Doak and his fiance, Kathy Buchanan of Belews Creek; one sister, Edith Petty of Danville, Va.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
