For ten seasons (1977 to 1987), he played at the defenseman position in the National Hockey League with the Minnesota North Stars, Quebec Nordiques, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and New York Rangers. Born Bradley Robert Maxwell, he played as an amateur with the New Westminster Bruins, prior to his promotion to the NHL with Minnesota during the 1977-1978 season. Maxwell contributed to the North Stars' run at the Stanley Cup when they reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 1981. During the 1983-1984 season, he produced career-highs win 19 goals and 54 assists. In 613 career regular season games, he compiled 98 goals and 270 assists. After retiring from hockey, he operated a cabinet making business. He died from lung cancer.
