W.H. "Dub" Adams was born in Dallas, Texas, on Jan. 21, 1936, to Earnest and Nora Smith Adams. He served his country and flag with honor, serving two enlistments with the Army and retiring from the Air Force Reserve. He married the former Helen Sue Smith and worked as an independent contractor for Lockheed, Boeing and Wylie Labs. Mr. Adams became a communications technician for Southwestern Bell and retired with 25 years of service. While he was with Southwestern Bell, he was a member of the Communication Workers of America. In 1997 he moved from Arlington, Texas to Baxter County, Arkansas, where he was a member of First Baptist Church of Flippin.

Dub was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Claude E. Adams; he was survived by his wife, Helen Sue Adams; his children, Lori Adams Minshall and Robert Samuel Adams; sisters, Stella Mae Ferguson and Vivian L. Hollis; grandchildren, William L. Maness and Stephanie Maness; stepgrandchildren, Noah, Jessica and Aaron Minshall; and several nieces and nephews.
