Dora Dykes Coulter lifelong resident of Apalachicola, Florida went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the age of 74. She was born on May 17, 1949 to the late George Willie Dykes and Johnny M. Langley. Dora married the love of her life Arthur Coulter at sixteen, a union that would last for fifty-eight years. Side by side, they served the Lord in ministry for many years and had been attending Telogia Assembly of God. She was a school bus driver for Franklin County for seventeen years and a true Apalachicola seafood worker, shucking oysters for twenty plus years. Dora was an amazing cook, caretaker and loved her family fiercely.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, G.W. Dykes, Marvin Dykes, and Glenn Dykes and one sister, Jeanine Peterson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years of Apalachicola, Florida; two sons and a daughter in law of Apalachicola, Florida and Eastpoint, Florida; a daughter and son in law of Blountstown, Florida; one sister of Bethlehem, Georgia; four grandchildren and a grandchild in law one on the way; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apalachicola, Florida. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A time of visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M.
