Stuart L. Endorf, 68, of Grand Island, passed away September 1, 2023 at Bryan Medical Center- West Campus.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 2 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, with a burial following at Grand Island City Cemetery. Pastor Daniel Bremer will officiate.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5th from 5-7 pm, also at the church.

Stuart was born on March 20, 1955 in Franklin, NE to Reuben and Norma (Mason) Endorf.

He lived in Campbell until the age of five, when the family moved to Grand Island.

Stuart first attended Trinity Lutheran School, then Barr, and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1973. He then went on to attend St. Francis School of Nursing, where he became a Registered Nurse.

On May 10, 1975, Stuart was united in marriage to Barbara Lute. The couple made their home and raised their family in Grand Island.

Stuart was employed for the Dodge County Memorial hospital in Fremont and later at the Veteran's Hospital and Medical Center.

In his younger years, Stuart attended and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. Later, he became a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir and was a church elder.

Stuart was a member of the Prairie Pioneer Genealogical Society, the Hall County Historical Society, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association Grand Island Chapter 1509.

In his spare time, he enjoyed music, time with his dog, attending his granddaughter's softball games, and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara; son, Michael (Kyla) Endorf; granddaughter, Carreagan Endorf; bonus son, Jade Buckman; sister, Mary Lou Jordan; sisters-in-law, Elaine Endorf, Sherilyn Allen; brother-in-law, Merlin Johnson; and numerous extended family and friends.

Stuart was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth; parents; two brothers, Paul Endorf and an infant brother; and two sisters, Judy Endorf and Brenda Johnson.
