Judy, the daughter of Evelyn and Gerald Stainbrook was born on October 20, 1946, in Kansas. She moved to South Dakota when she was young and grew up in Baltic, South Dakota on her parents' farm. She attended school in Baltic and graduated from Baltic High School.
Judy was employed at the Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls for over 40 years where she worked as an Accounting Specialist and made many lifetime friends.
Judy was an avid bowler and spent many years bowling on a league in Sioux Falls. She liked fast cars and especially her beloved red 1975 TransAm Firebird. Judy also loved to bake and would always share her baked goods with friends and family (her favorite things to bake were lemon bread and gingersnap cookies). Judy had a love for plants and flowers and would often frequent the farmers market on Saturdays to pick up a fresh bouquet for her table. Judy stayed active enjoying movies, walks, her pets, meals with her friends and family and listening to the oldies on the radio blaring in her garage.
Judy is survived by her son, Kevin Stainbrook and his wife Alisa of Sioux Falls, her son, Dustin (Dusty) Muters of Rapid City; two grandsons, Sean and Ryan Stainbrook of Sioux Falls; brother, Calvin Stainbrook and his wife Cindy of Brooking; and their children and grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Angie DeVries and her parents Evelyn and Gerald Stainbrook.
Judy will be remembered for her kindness and giving spirit.
