"Monroe, La., Feb. 4 - At the residence of her son, W. M. Ruffin, in this city, there died to-day one of Ouachita parish's oldest citizens, Mrs. N. Ruffin, aged 85 years. She had lived in this parish for the past fifty years, but has been an invalid for a number of years. She leaves four children, W. M. Ruffin, Mrs. Ed Berry and two daughters in Caldwell parish. The remains will be interred at Mount Vernon church cemetery, in the family burying ground."
