Obituary for Mr. James E. Deaton
Mr. James E. Deaton, age 81, of Hoschton, Georgia passed away peacefully August 30, 2023 with his family by his side. Mr. Deaton was born November 13, 1941 in Hoschton to the late Hoke S., Sr. and Reba Loggins Deaton. He had resided in Hoschton for most of his life and was a member of Rockwell Lodge #9, F. & A. M. Mr. Deaton was a 1959 Graduate of Braselton High School. He had a 33 year career with the U. S. Postal Service, the latter of which he served as the Postmaster at the Braselton Post Office.

The Family will receive visitors Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 3:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Surviving are Wife, Linda Evans Deaton, Daughters, Lyn (Donald) Deaton Rooks, and Lisa (Lamar) Turk, Grandchildren, Adam James Rooks, Abigail Rooks and Jackson Lee Culpepper, Great Grandchildren, Gabriella Rooks and Sofia Rooks, Brother and Sisters, Hoke Deaton, Jr., Jeanette Halfhill, Edna Vix and Sue Turner.
