The News & Banner, Franklin, Heard County, GA, 20 Sept 1940: Mrs. Sara E. Lunsford Passes Monday Night At Home of Her Daughter:


Mrs. Sara E. Lunsford, 88, native Heard countian, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. R. Hawk, near Enon Grove, Monday night last after a long illness.


Funeral services and interment were held Wednesday afternoon at Bethel Baptist church of which she was a member. Rev. R. S. Young officiated.


Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hawk, Mrs. H. K. Huff, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Joe Brown, of Newnan; four sons, J. H. Lunsford, of Hogansville, W. L. Lunsford of Atlanta, W. P. Lunsford, of Greenville, and T. E. Lunsford, of Jonesboro; 31 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren;
