Thomas M. Haley was the son of Edward Haley and Mercy Musgrave. He was born in 1796 in Blockley Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (Blockley no longer exists). In 1821, he married Lydia McCartney . They had six children: Edward , William , John C., Thomas, Mercy and Albert S.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Monday morning, March 31, at 10 o'clock from the residence of his son-in-law, F.W. Thomas, on the Old Lancaster road, below the five mile store. Funeral to proceed to Radnor Burial.
