ROY- Shirley Jean Weir Walling, 60, passed away Thursday, July 20, 1995 at her home after a short illness.
She was born April 7, 1935 in Preston, Idaho, the oldest child of John Thomas and Thelma Child Weir.
She married Carl H Seifert on June 1, 1951, in the Logan Temple. They were later divorced. She married Lloyd Leon Walling on October 15, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was raised in Roy and attended Weber County Schools.
Shirley enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and boating with her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband Leon Walling, Roy; her mother, Thelma Weir, Roy; five sons and two daughters, Alan Seifert (Sharon), West Point; Susan Herzog (Sam), Roy; Dan Seifert (Sharon), Washington Terrace; Sherry Almeida (Richard), Roy; Larry Seifert Bountiful; Kelly Walling (Lisa), Roy; and John Walling (Shauna), Roy.
Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister Jack Weir (Joanne), Roy; and ReNae Barker (LaMar), Roy.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5300 S. 2300 W.
Friends may meet the family at Myers Mortuary in Roy 5865 S. 1900 W. from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
