Dominic "Nico" Jules Green passed away unexpectedly in his Los Angeles, California apartment and was pronounced dead on January 17, 2022. Nico was born on May 18,1993 in Summerville, South Carolina. As a military child, he travelled extensively across the globe and lived with his family in South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Texas, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Japan.

Nico graduated high school from Pine Forge Academy in Pennsylvania in 2011. Following high school, he attended Southern Adventist University in Tennessee and in 2016 graduated from Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. After taking a sabbatical to work, he earned a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Loma Linda University in California, in 2021. While at Loma Linda University, Dominic did extensive research on the impact of disease in underserved communities. His goal was to earn a doctorate degree in public health epidemiology, and to expand upon his research to help address health disparities in underserved communities.

Following graduation from Loma Linda University, he was hired by Healthcare Staffing Professionals and worked as a contract employee for the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health as a Public Health Epidemiologist and Program Data Analyst, until the time of his death.

Nico loved God and his desire was to get baptized while he lived in Japan. So, upon returning to the United States, at the first opportunity, he was baptized and became a member of the Dedham Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dedham, Massachusetts. He had an infectious smile and loved his family. When he hugged you, he gave you the strongest of hugs to show his love for you. Nico was most happy when visiting his cousins and other family members. In his free time, he enjoyed gaming and working out. He loved his Haitian heritage and enjoyed making one of his favorite dishes, Haitian riz et pois and légumes. Nico was a connoisseur of all types of food and enjoyed living in his apartment in a quaint Los Angeles neighborhood where he could enjoy great cuisine.

Nico will be missed, dearly. He is survived by his parents, Jeannine (Volny) Green and Joseph Green; his brother, Dr. Adriel Green (Sister-in-law Jasmine) and his sister Jeannelle Green; his grandmother Mary Green; his Aunt Christine Green (Cousin Ayndia); his Uncle Harold and Aunt Frances Green (Cousins Kevin and Shenise); his Aunt Delores Green (Cousin Rashida); his Uncle James Green (Cousins Yolande, Mariah, Zayla, Shannon, Jordan and Aaron); his Aunt, Dr. Patricia (Green) and Uncle Randolph Howard (Cousins Nehemiah and Zimerah); his Aunt Juliette (Volny) and Uncle, Pastor Ronald Jean-Baptiste (Cousins Christopher, Genevieve and Jules); his Aunt, Chaplain Judith (Volny) and Uncle, Pastor Jean Robert Jean-Baptiste; his Aunt Junon (Volny) and Uncle, Dr. Roland Brutus (Cousins Hadascha, Isabelle and Alexandre); his Uncle Jules Jr. and Aunt Estrellita Volny (Cousins Jovan, Jules III, Shari and Sabrina); his Aunt Marline (Menuau) and Uncle, Pastor Max Charles (Cousins Christian and Imani); his Aunt Pascale (Menuau) and Uncle, Dr. Farly Sejour (Cousins Victoria, Alexis (Dominic's goddaughter), and Emily); his adopted Aunt Phoebe Muscadin; his Cousin Darlande Raymond and family; his godfather, Dr. Luc Pierre and his family, and countless other family members. Dominic was predeceased by his grandfather, Jules Manigat Volny, his grandmother, Jeanne Volny, and other close family members.

Services will be held on Sunday, February 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida. Please join us to watch his video tribute at 10:30 a.m. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. While not mandatory, in honor of Nico's casual style, attendees are strongly encouraged to dress casually and wear jeans and a white shirt, as we gather to celebrate his life.

May we live a life worthy so that one day we may be reunited, once again, in heaven. Rest our son.
