Leslie Enoch was the son of Herbert and Maggie Derina (Matthews) Benner. He was a graduate of Luling High School, and a veteran of World War II. He made the Air Force his career until he received a medical discharge after being on active duty for 24 years. His decorations and awards include the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign w-2; Bronze Service Stars, American Campaign Medal, World War Victory Medal, National Defense Medal w-1 Bronze Service Star, Air Medal w-1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal w-3 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and USAF NCO Academy Graduate.
