Cassandra "Sandy" Edwards, 63, formerly of Cicero and North Syracuse , passed away March 19 in Cape Coral, Florida. She retired from an accomplished career of 32 years with Merrill Lynch in 2001. For several years, she served as an Auxiliary Board Member of Hospice of CNY. She enjoyed antique collecting, bowling, boating and traveling. She is predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Richard Edwards in 2006 and her sister, JoCarol Edens in 1993.
Survivors: her sons, David (Sue) Brothers of Shawnee, KS and Kevin J. Brothers of Cicero; step-sons, Richard (Sandy) Edwards Jr. and Robert Edwards, both of Cicero; sisters, Alison Kowaleski-Eldred (Mike) of Liverpool and Gail Pedersen of Kirkville; father, Raymond Gladd of Kirkville; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 12, 10:30 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Borio's Restaurant in Cicero.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Hospice of CNY or Cicero United Methodist Church. Farone & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
