Garrett W. Low. A great shock comes to many hearts in the death of G.W. Low, who passed away suddenly at his home, 721 West Cedar street, about 9 o'clock Thursday evening. lie had been feeling a little more poorly than usual for a few days, but went down town Thursday afternoon on business. He complained of shortness of breath on his return and kept his couch and chair during the evening, his daughter; Miss Emma Low, reading to him most of the time. He felt so oppressed for breath that he went to the door to see if he could not find relief. Mrs. Low followed him and as he turned back into the room he fell and only lived a short time afterward. Heart failure is assigned as the final cause of his death. Mr. Low's age was 78 years. He leaves a wife and four daughters, Mrs. Frank J. Wooley of Chicago, who has just returned home after spending Christmas with her father and family; Mrs. John Van Westrienen, who with her husband lives at the home; Miss Emma Low and Miss Clara Low, Funeral notice later
