"A family of Soldiers"

Milton Bozeman was a private in the Confederate army, he elisted with the GA 22nd Cavalry company F and held the rank of first lieutentant with the Distrtict 542 GA. Milton was captured in South Carolina and taken to Hart Island, New York, where he died in captivity and was buried on Hart's Island. His final resting place is in Cypress Hills National Cemetery, Brooklyn N.Y.

His father was Col John Bozeman: 1793-1848. He served in the U.S. Army during the war of 1812. He was a county judge in Georgia from 1829 to 1835 amd was a member of the Georgia state house of representatives in 1830.

Milton also had a Brother: Henry Marshall Bozeman, he enlisted in Sept. 1861 Thirty-first regiment, Company F Pulaski volunteer infanty. Cold Harbor Virginia was the first engagment in which he took part in.
