Dale Gardner Teagle, 84, of Williamsburg, passed away August 26, 2023. She was born October 15, 1938, in Norge, Viriginia. Dale lived in the Newport News/Williamsburg area all her life. She graduated from James Blair High School in 1956. Dale retired from Camp Peary after 24 years of exemplary service.

Dale was a life-long member of Olive Branch Christian Church. She served as a Deaconess, Treasurer, Board Secretary, Sunday School teacher, and assisted with numerous church activities and functions.

Dale is survived by her children: Kimberly T. Cupp (Shawn), Raymond David Teagle, Jr. (Heidi), Jason L. Teagle, and Alison T. Hainley (Kenny); her 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by her parents John Hill Gardner, Sr., and Clay Estelle (Bond)Gardner; her husband, Raymond David Teagle, Sr., and their grandson, Brandon David Teagle. Her sisters: Thelma Williams, Frances Williams, Cornelia (Jill) Moore, Jacqueline Nuttall, Elizabeth Davis and Christine Bell; Brothers: John Hill (Jr.), Delaware, Mac, Neal, Henry, and Dan also preceded her in death.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Brookdale Chambrel Claire Bridge for their love, support, and care while Dale was a resident there. Virginia Health Services Hospice team provided incredible encouragement, support, and guidance in Dale's last weeks. We are grateful for the love, prayers, calls, and support of our friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Olive Branch Christian Church, 7643 Richmond Road, Toano, VA. The Service will be live streamed on the church's Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
