Crystal Rene Wilson, 22, of Fulton, Kentucky, formerly of Lake County, died early Monday, January 23, 2006, at her home from complications of diabetes, which she battled valiantly for a number of years. She attended Lake County school until her senior year (LCHS class of 2001) and graduated from Gateway Christian Academy in Jackson, Tennessee, where she received a full scholarship from the American Diabetes Foundation. She was employed as a waitress at Pizza Hut.
Visitation was Wednesday evening, January 25, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Kentucky.
Services were at 1:00P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Keystone Church of God in Tiptonville, Tennessee with the Reverend Wayne Gordon officiating.
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humbolt, Tennessee beside her aunt, Terri O'Neal.
She was born March 19, 1983, in Union City, Tennessee to Joy O'Neal Wilson and Phillip Wilson.
She leaves her mother and step-father, Joy and Robert Haggard of Oak Ridge,Tennessee, her father and step-mother, Phillip and Teena Wilson of Fulton, Kentucky, two sisters, Heather Wilson of Fulton, Kentucky and Randee Haggard of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; two brothers, Christopher Gordon and Phillip Wilson Jr., both of Fulton ,Kentucky; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Damon O'Neal of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Linda Haggard of Dyersburg,Tennessee, Mr. and Mrs. Jerrell Wilson of Fulton, Kentucky; great-grand-mother, Dorothy Simmons of Fulton, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Terri O'Neal, her grandfather, Travis (Pete) Haggard, both of Tiptonville.
The family requests all memorials go to the American Diabetes Foundation.
