Jonathan C. Giddings was the son of Joseph Giddings and Eunice Andrews.
In Milford, Connecticut on 2 Jan 1766 he married Mary Herrick Baldwin, (daughter of Gamaliel Baldwin and Mary (Rebecca) Herrick Stebbins).
Jonathan and Mary had 9 children:

Captain Jonathan C. Giddings (1741 Lyme, Ct-1817 Sherman) commanded a scouting party and endured great hardship. He was wounded and obtained an honorable discharge.
