Grant Hodges
Grant Hodges was born in Dent County, Mo., near Salem on October 5th, 1868, and departed this life March 22nd, 1940, making his age 71 years, 6 months and 19 days.
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Nelson in March 1905. She preceded him in death on April 19th 1927.
He was married in 1932 to Frances York who survives him. He also leaves two brothers and four sisters who are not in this community, namely, Jim and Fount Hodges, Flora Willis, Mattie Pruett, Pearl Hodges and Frankie Kline.
He professed faith in Christ about six years ago and was baptized and joined the Hepsoda Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. J. E. Gaines at the Mt. Olive Cemetery where the body was laid to rest under direction of Smith & Ferguson.
