Wedding A quiet wedding was celebrated this morning at St. Paul's Church, Remuera, when Miss Norma June Blomfield, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Clyde Blomfield, of Remuera, was married to Sergeant Douglas Robert Miller, only son of Mr and Mrs ,T. G. Miller, of Masterton. The Rev. W. Walker officiated and Mrs P. Winstone was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory georgette with a high neck line caught with a cameo brooch and a circular skirt. Her long Brussels lace veil fell from a coronet of orange blossom to the hem of her train She carried a sheaf of St. Joseph lilies.
The bridesmaid, Miss Ngarei Blomfield, sister of the bride, wore a frock of ivory chiffon and carried a bouquet of delphiniums and sweet peas with a halo of the same flowers in her hair.
Staff-Sergeant Harold Gichard, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man.
The reception was held at the home of the bride's eldest sister, Mrs Jock Clarke, Dell Avenue, Remuera. Mrs Blomfield received her guests in a black and white ensemble with a spray of white carnations and a black hat. Mr and Mrs Miller, who were unable to be present owing to family illness, were represented by Mr and Mrs K Gichard, aunt and uncle of the bridegroom. Mrs Gichard was in a navy blue frock with hat to match and a shoulder spray of carnations in cyclamen tonings. Mrs Clarke wore a powder blue frock and white hat
