Chester Adams of Blendon,Michigan,enlisted in Co.B,3rd Michigan Infantry on May 13,1861 at Grand Rapids.On May 31,1862,he was wounded at the Battle of Fair Oaks,Virginia,a gunshot wound to the right leg.Chester was sent to New York City(Cook's City Hospital) to recover,but died of a hemorrhage on June 19,1862.
