He married Pauline Brown in Bristow on September 28, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a welder for Allied until his retirement. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Johns of the home, four sons, Carl Johns of Bartlesville, David Johns of Oklahoma City and Paul T. Johns Jr. and Phillips Johns, both of Stroud, two brothers, Fred Johns of Decatur, Illinois and James Johns of Bristow, three sisters, Hazel Arrington of Tulsa, Lola Duschane of Chilsia and Wanda Sturm of Broken Arrow, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Stroud, with the Rev. Jim Christian officiating. Burial will be in Bristow Cemetery.
