Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Allison, of Mechanicstown, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 30. Nearly a hundred friends and relatives were entertained at the home. Mr. and Mrs. Allison were married May 30, 1879 at Smith's Ferry, Pa., by Rev. J. J. Eaton. They have lived in Mechanicstown for the last fifty years. Mr. and Mrs. Allison are the parents of eight children, seven of whom are living: Mrs. Carey Carr, of Wathey's, Mrs. M. T. Steel of Rimersburg, Pa., Mrs. Lela Adams of Salineville, Mrs. S. S. Hull of Carrollton, William of Mechanicstown, Captain Ralph Allison of Peourhura, Mexico, and Lieutenant John T. Allison, of Lordsburg, Mexico.
