Grace G. Patterson, 87, Purdin, died Monday evening, Sept. 2, 1996, at Brookfield Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 13, 1909, near Purdin, the daughter of Bill and Lucy Hedges Jenkins. She and Charles Collins were married. He preceded her in death. She and Harold Patterson were married March 25, 1981.
She was a member of the Winigan Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star of Winigan.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; a grandson, Aaron Abernathey, Kansas City; two great-grandsons, Rex Abernathey, Independence, and Will Abernathey, Kansas City; one great-great grandson, Cameron Abernathey; one sister, Viola Harvey Looney, Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara L. Schwartz; four brothers, Everett, Doug, Howard and Leonard Jenkins; two sisters, Leanna Woodside and Marie Owens, and tree infant siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 1996, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the Evangelist paul Crist officiating. Burial will be in the Purdin Cemetery.
