Services for Doris Juanita Adams Brown, 79, Topeka, were Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Topeka. Burial in Meriden Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006. She was born Nov. 23, 1926, the daughter of George Dewey and Lillian Faye Lang Adams. Mrs. Brown was a senior tax adviser for H&R Block of Topeka for 25 years and retired April 15, 2006. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She married William Randolph Brown on March 6, 1948. He died Aug. 6, 2003. Survivors include a son, Gary Brown and wife Brenda, Lawrence; two daughters, Carol Bush and husband James "Butch," Parsons, and Bobbi Baker and husband Mike, Papillion, NE; four brothers, Melvin Adams, Aurora, CO, Eldon Adams, Ozawkie, and Billie and Danny Adams, both of Topeka; four sisters, Janet Torluemke, Aurora, CO, Norma Reed, Topeka, Donna Cummings, Topeka, and Sandra Newell, Lincoln, KS; nine grandchildren, Whitney, Schuyler, Hailey Faye, Braden, Riley, Jeff, Averi, Logan and Payton; and a great-grandson, Henry.
Visitation today at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the church.
