Maxine Davis married Wayne Edwin Davis December 5, 1941. After WWII and Wayne's completion of law school, they moved to Caldwell in 1948. Wayne began his law practice and Maxine taught at Lincoln School where she taught 4-6 grade Idaho history. February 1952 they adopted a daughter they named Katy. Maxine called the school at noon to resign that day. Later that same year they adopted Katy's natural sister and named her Debra. Maxine was an at-home mom and participated in all school activities and made sure the girls participated in summer activities. Maxine and Wayne were also busy with community activities. She was active in PEO Chapter F and became President Idaho State Chapter in 1975. She and Wayne played bridge and, after his death in 1986, she began playing dudplicte bridge getting to "Master" level just before her death.
