Martha Patton Archibald Weir/Wier, born March 1837, died October 6-7, 1911 (probably 7), and was buried Sunday, Oct 8 at "the Baptist Church," Aliceville, AL. (by the Presbyterian minister), now called Franconia Cemetery.
Montgomery Advertiser, Oct. 10, 1911, p 7:

Mrs. Martha Weir. Aliceville, Ala. Oct. 9 -- Mrs. Martha Weir, of Carrollton, was buried here yesterday after appropriate services at the Baptist Church by Dr. Praigg, pastor of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Weir died suddenly Saturday, having been taken ill suddenly and dying before medical assistance could be had.
She had a host of relatives in this vicinity as well as at Carrollton. Many of the Carrollton people attended the funeral.


Her tombstone says Martha Wier, 1837-1911.
Martha P. Archibald Wier/Weir was the widow of James Harvey Wier, son of James and Rebecca (Smith) Wier; grandson of Thomas & Mary (Withrow) Wier. She was the daughter of John Patton Archibald and Mary (Means) Archibald. Martha was a first cousin of Jane Means (who married Samuel Wier) and a niece of Thomas Means who married Margaret H. Wier.
Samuel Wier and Margaret H. Wier were first cousins of Martha's father-in-law James Wier, being children of James & Mary (Hamilton) Wier.
