died early today at St.
Joseph Hospital, Lorain, following
a 10-day illness.
Born in New Boston, Ohio,
he was an Avon Lake resident
15 years.
Mr. Boggs was an
industrial spray painter and
a member of Painters Local
867 of Cleveland. He attended
Lake Avenue United
Church of Christ and was a
member of Amherst Eagles
Lodge 1442.
Surviving are his wife,
Betty J., to whom he was
married 20 years; daughter
Mrs. Richard M. (Carol L.)
Shawver of Amherst; three <
grandchildren; and sisters
Mrs. Frank R. (Susan)' Johnson
and Mrs. Charles W.
(Patricia) Elkins, both of
Ashland, Ky., and Mrs. Kenneth
R. (Beverly) Poe of
Houston, Tex.
He was preceded in death
by two sisters, Ruth and
Hazel.
Friends will be received
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. at the Harold Dicken
Funeral Home, where services
will be Saturday at 11
a.m. with the Rev. Mel Holtz
officiating. Burial will be in
Ridgelawn Cemetery.
The f a m i l y suggests
memorial contributions, if
desired, may be made to the
Hospice Department of St.
Joseph Hospital, Lorain.
