He was born May 12, 1916 in Beaver, Utah to William Jesse and Edna Hutchings Baker. Married Naomi Mathews October 25, 1942, Paris, Idaho, later sealed in the St. George Temple. He grew up in Milford, and graduated from Milford High and attended Bakersfield Jr. College. He spent time in Alaska working in the ship yard. He worked as an inspector for Utah State Road Department for many years. He was a member of the LDS Church where he served in scouting and as a sports director.
He is survived by his son, Craige (LaRae) Baker of Chubbuck, Idaho; and daughter, Arlene (DarLynn) Sorensen of Orderville, Utah; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Naomi; and two sons, William Benjamin, and Richard M.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rose Park 9th Ward Chapel (760 N. 1200 W.) with a Viewing one hour prior; as well as a Viewing Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary (260 E. South Temple).
Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens (1225 E. 4580 S.).
