LaVonne King Wing, 91, of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, died April 3, 2008.

She was born May 18, 1916 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada to Louis Debenham and Emma Elizabeth Eames King. She married Niles Mercer Wing on June 6, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They remained happily married until Nile's death in 1999. She attended public schools in Raymond, and attended Brigham Young University where she met her future husband. She was the Freshman Class Queen at BYU. LaVonne went on to get a degree at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving many positions with the Young Women. She and Niles served as temple workers in the Provo Temple. LaVonne was known for her compassion, unconditional love and support for her family and friends. Her ever-present smile and attention to detail inspired and uplifted those around her. She always had a kind word or a meal prepared for anyone in the neighborhood who needed it. She was a devoted wife, wonderful mother and dedicated grandma. Many of the families cherished memories are of family outings and dinners where she spent her time making everyone around her feel better about themselves by her compliments and unconditional love.

Survived by her children, Sharon Wing Brown (Frank), Bountiful; SueZann Wing, American Fork; Craig Niles Wing (Laurie), Park City; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Necia Mullett, Cedar City. Preceded in death by her four brothers, Louis, Harold, Shirley, Donald and two sisters, Stella and Melba.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 8th Ward Chapel, 320 North 100 East. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Services.
Interment: American Fork City Cemetery.
