Born April 3, 1929, in Thayne, Wyoming, to Effie and Wallace Baxter. Vera grew up in Saint Anthony, Idaho, where she graduated from high school with many fond memories. She married Wayne W. Hope in St. Anthony, Idaho, in August 1948. Their marriage was later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. They raised three children and later divorced. Vera married Thomas Ren Pearson on July 3, 1974. Though later divorced Tom and Vera remained good friends. Vera was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, full of unconditional love. Vera had a long and rewarding career with Littons Industries, Guidance Control Division. Vera's family was the most important part of her life. She cherished her retirement years and enjoyed the companionship of her children and many grandchildren, who often visited.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Stephen "Cal" Baxter and Gene Baxter. She is mourned by her three children, Marla Mae Llewellyn of Kearns Utah, Reo Wayne Hope (Gayle) Lawton, OK; and Valarie Jean Bolinder of Green River, Wyoming. She is also survived by her brother Forrest (Joanne) Baxter of St. Anthony, Idaho, and by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 7th 2008 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Taylorsville. Friends and Family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to Services.
Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
