LAWSON, Billie Burns Died at home, December 22, 2001. Born November 28, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma; age 69. Wife of Elmer G. Lawson of Fort Bragg; mother of Rita Wright, Steve (Brenda) Burns and Jerry Burns, all of Ukiah; stepmother of Ken (Candace) Lawson of Sebastopol. Sister of Gerry and Charlie Crooks of Bellevue, WA and Noble and Mary Stansbury of Oakdale, CA; grandmother of Rhonda and Richard Bell, Jason Wright, Alan and Melissa Lawson, Gary and Amy Lawson, Jim and Colleen Huppert; great grandmother of Brian, Todd, Amanda, Eric, Natalie and Ben. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Noble and Nora Stansbury, by her grandson Tim Lawson and by her beloved sisters. A homemaker and realtor, she was a 40 year resident of Mendocino County, Fort Bragg and Ukiah. She was most proud of having overcome her very humble beginnings to her successfulness as a realtor as well as her love of family and her abundance of friends. She was a volunteer at Mendocino Coast Hospital in Fort Bragg and Past President of the Fort Bragg Chamber of Commerce. In 1970 she arranged Christmas celebration for Disabled Veterans of Vietnam War by acquiring donations from the community. She was self taught with numerous personal achievements and received numerous awards for achievements in Real Estate. She will be remembered for her love and devotion as a wife and mother and her friendship to everyone. Her favorite quote, "I love you", was meant for all! Funeral services will be held Friday December 28, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at EVERSOLE MORTUARY, Reverend William Duncan officiating. Visitation Thursday, December 27, 2001 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the EVERSOLE MORTUARY. Entombment Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Ukiah.
