JOSEPH ALONZO KIKER
June 12, 1925 - August 19, 2023

Mr. Kiker, 98, died at 1:20 p.m. at Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville, TX. He was born in Bronte, Texas, to Chester and Gussie Kiker.

He married Dorothy Lynn Bishop May 14, 1943, and they traveled from Texas to California on road construction. In the late '40s, they moved to northern California where he worked for Granit Rock. They moved to Southern California in 1953 where he laid Tile, carpet and linoleum flooring. In 1974 he worked in maintenance and student housing for Life Bible College. He retired in 1988 and moved to Missouri. The couple built their own home outside of Stockton while raising cattle, and he gave his life to the Lord and his service in 1950. He worked in churches with music, nursing home music, Vacation Bible School, teaching Sunday School and was a Deacon. He was very involved with the Jerico Springs Community Center.

Survivors include: a son, Robert Raydell Kiker and wife Carol Ann of Roseburg, OR; a daughter, Helen Lynn Gross of Gainesville, TX; four grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Maulsby and husband Sean Patrick Maulsby of Denison, TX, Andrea Rae Kiker of Roseburg, OR, Staci Ann Kiker of Portland, OR and Joseph Lee Kiker and wife Margarita of Scottsdale, AZ; great-grandson, Nathanial Patrick Maulsby of Denison, TX; great-granddaughters, Malena Kiker, Alexia Kiker, Naya Kiker, a great-grandson, Micah Kiker all of Scottsdale, AZ; multiple nieces, nephews; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; sister Faye Melton; brother Chester Raydell Kiker; brother-in-law Bob Bishop.

Visitation is Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. with services at 10:00 a.m. located at Bland-Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton, Missouri with burial in the Omer Cemetery.
