Premier Jazz and Bebop Guitarist. One of the most in-demand studio musicians of the 60's though 80's; often described as the most recorded guitarist in history. Along with Don Randi, Hal Blaine, and Carol Kaye, belonged to a group of session musicians informally known as The Wrecking Crew. Long time Guitar Player magazine contributor. Recorded with most of the top musicians/composers of the era including but not limited to: The Beach Boys, The Everly Brothers, The Ventures, Jan & Dean, The Association, The Mamas & the Papas, Stevie Wonder, Henry Mancini, Barbra Streisand, The Tijuana Brass, Ike and Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Zappa, The Righteous Brothers, Ray Charles, Diana Ross, Linda Ronstadt, Glen Campbell, Jimmy Bruno, Shelly Manne, Sammy Davis, Jr., Bing Crosby, Larry Carlton, Sam Cooke, Cher, The Monkees, Vic Mizzy, and Nancy and Frank Sinatra. Television theme/soundtrack credits included: Bonanza, The Twilight Zone, Green Acres, M*A*S*H, Three's Company, Gunsmoke, The Waltons, Hawaii Five O, The Partridge Family, Roots, and Batman. Film soundtrack credits included: The French Connection, The Godfather, Jaws, The Deerhunter, Goodfellas, Indiana Jones, When Harry Met Sally, Field of Dreams, Bird, Cocoon, Cool Hand Luke, Cat Balou, as well as several Elvis Presley films. Additionally, he recorded several solo jazz guitar albums. Tommy suffered a stroke in 1992 that ended his musical career. In 1997, he died quietly with his family at his bedside.
