Daniel P. Isacksen, age 82, of Bourbonnais died on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his home, following a long illness.

Mr. Isacksen was a 1959 graduate of Taft High School in Chicago and Bradley University and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University. He spent over forty years in the banking industry in Chicago, Palatine, Peoria, Springfield, and ended his career as President of the First National Bank of Grant Park. He also taught Computer Science at Lincoln Land Community College. In 1977, Governor James R. Thompson appointed Mr. Isacksen to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Banks and Trust Companies. At the same time, he represented the State of Illinois on the Arthritis Foundation Board with movie star, Henry Fonda.

In 1985, Mr. Isacksen cofounded WLUJ (Lifting up Jesus) radio station in Springfield, IL which rebroadcast many of Moody Bible Institutes programs. He had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors of the AWANA Youth Association, Cedar Lake Bible Conference, and Electronic Funds of Illinois.

On September 12, 1992, Dan married Micki Tudor. They enjoyed nearly 31 years together living out their faith in Jesus. They loved boating on Lake Michigan and created lasting memories at their home in New Buffalo, MI. Weekly Bible studies have brought Dan much joy over the years. One of his favorite passages of scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."

Surviving are his wife, Michele "Micki" Tudor-Isacksen; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel P. Jr. & Yola Isacksen; two sons-in-law, James Beatty and Wayne Wright; six grandchildren, James, Rebecca, Andrea, and John Beatty, Benjamin Isacksen, and Sarah (Sam) Kiesewetter; two great-granddaughters, Joni and May; one sister, Gayle Thomas; one sister-in-law, Sarah Isacksen; two stepsons, Charles "Bill" Tudor (Stacy Barclay) and Jeffrey (Ann) Tudor; six step grandchildren, Jessica (Keith) Coppens, Will (Nicole) Tudor, Halia Tudor, Grace Tudor, Nora Tudor, and Owen Tudor; and three step great-step grandsons, Leighton, Josiah, and Charles V.

Mr. Isacksen is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Isacksen & Shirley Takimura; two daughters, Joni Beatty and Jill Wright; one sister Lynn (Karl) Schneider; one brother, Robert Isacksen; and one brother-in-law, David Thomas.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
