Victim of Stroke, 87, Was Born In Obion
Mrs. Maude Mae Billings of 3160 Nathan, who was the widow of W.F. Billings, died at 12:45 a.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital after a stroke. She had been ill several years. She was 87.
Born in Obion, Tenn., she had lived here since 1923.
She was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Tipton County, Tenn.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jack Nichols of the Nathan address and Mrs. Walter Jones of 568 Vandalia; three sons, C.E. Billings of Kennedy Veterans Hospital, L.R. Billings of 3414 Vernon and W.F. Billings, Jr. of 3511 Rockwood; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Memphis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Tipton County.
