Julian Milton Alexander died at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Saturday, August 20, 2005 after a brief illness. He was born in Westminster, S.C., and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Angela Periatti Alexander; daughter, Lavinia A. Alexander and husband, Christian Haas; sister, Kathleen Coleman and husband, Byron; sister-in-law, Lavinia P. Parker and husband, Edward R. Parker; nephews, E. Roy Parker Jr. and Raymond N. Parker and their families; and his beloved pets, Sasha and Franz. Mr. Alexander was a graduate of Clemson University and Purdue University. He was a civil engineer and retired from the State of Virginia in 1991. He served as an Officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A memorial service will be held at Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, August 23, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, 7000 Park Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23226.
