WILLIAM P. CLARK DIED SUNDAY MORNING
William Preston Clark, who died at two o'clock Sunday morning at his farm home north of Galesburg, on the County Farm Road, of general break down, was born in Prairie Ronde township, near Schoolcraft, August 22, 1849 and lived there all his early life. On May 13, 1874, he was married to Lucy A. Barker, who was then teaching in his neighborhood. To this union three sons were born-Asher J. Clark of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Lavern L. Clark of Jackson and Elbrige B. Clark of Kalamazoo.
The widow and sons, a sister, Mrs. Chas. Nesbitt of Schoolcraft, a granddaughter and six grandsons, beside nieces and nephews, are left to mourn his loss
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at Truesdale’s chapel in Kalamazoo with burial at Riverside.
His sons Asher and Laverne were here Sunday and attended the funeral. The Galesburg Argus April 3,1930 page 1
