Mrs. James E. Calkins, aged 82 years, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Warrant, on the Gull road. The deceased had been suffering for some time from a complication of diseases. She was one of the pioneer residents of Kalamazoo, having lived in the county for 40 years. The late husband James Calkins, was one of the best known citizens of the county. Mrs. Warrant is the only child. Funeral announcements will be made later.
