James Ball died this morning at 6 o'clock at the residence of his mother, Mrs. John Ball, corner of West and North streets. The deceased was but a little over 13 years of age and death resulted from consumption. He was a bright and exemplary young boy and his death at such a tender age is indeed sad. He received the most watchful and loving care during his illness, and his death will be mourned in the Second Reformed church Sabbath school, of which he was a member. The funeral notice will be given to-morrow. Kalamazoo Daily Telegraph March 22, 1889 page 6
