Alfred L. Bishir Jr. ("Boog") passed away unexpectedly Friday August 11, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital. Al was born November 16, 1971 to Alfred Bishir Sr. and Elesta, "Lisa" (Eccles) Bishir in Marion, Indiana. He married Lindsey Willems on August 13, 2022 in Marion, Indiana.
Al was a 1990 graduate of Madison Grant High School and had worked at Bendix in Huntington for the past 31 years.
Al was funny and full of life. He loved to make people laugh and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed fantasy football. He was a life long Notre Dame and Washington Redskins fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially fishing or playing cornhole with them any chance he had. He also enjoyed golfing with his two sons and many friends. Al never knew a stranger.
Al is survived by his wife Lindsey, mother Lisa, son Bradey (Tracy) Hendey, daughter Kaitlyn (Calan) Bishir, son Evan Bishir, step-son Gavin Crago, step-daughter Olivia Crago, grandchildren Whitleigh and Kayson Kerrigan, along with another grandchild on the way, and sister Robyn (Brett) Jones. He was preceded in death by his father and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral service was held on Friday August 18, 2023, with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Burial followed at Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
Arrangements for Al have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home 4601 South Western Avenue Marion, Indiana.
