Thomas B. Beard died January 5, 1925, in Salem, Oregon.
He was born February 7, 1854, to George E and Eliza Jane (Clouse) Beard at Salamonia, Jay County, Indiana. He moved west with his family and in 1870, they had settled in Richardson County, Nebraska.
He later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and married Anna Rebecca (Stevens) Pepper June 11, 1908 in Arnett, Oklahoma. He lived in Nebraska until 1920 when he moved to Salem, Oregon.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. M.J. Chapman of Dodge City, Kansas; two nephews, Frank Chapman of Arizona and Gail Chapman of Portland, Oregon; a niece, Mrs. Nellie Pierce of Arizona. He was a member of the Christian church.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Cemetery at Canby, Oregon, Tuesday Jan 6 with Samuel funeral parlors of Aurora in charge of arrangements.
